Drive-By, Drop-Off, Do Good: Recycling for Earth Day with Local Realty

On Friday, April 26, Up Up and Away Junk Hauling was proud to partner with Local Realty for their annual Recycle Day—our third year in a row supporting this impactful community event!

Held in the West Cobb Avenues parking lot, the event offered a simple and meaningful way for the community to responsibly declutter through a drive-by recycling setup. Locals were invited to pull up, pop their trunks, and participate in:

• Free secure document shredding on site
• Electronic recycling drop-off
• Bulk item disposal—with the dumpster provided by yours truly!

We’re thrilled to report that the community showed up in a big way—filling three full dumpsters with items that were responsibly recycled or disposed of. It’s always a privilege to help our neighbors make space and make a difference.

Before the event began, Taylor checked in to give you a peek behind the scenes and show how the site was set up for success.

We’re grateful to Local Realty for organizing this event year after year, and for inviting us to play a key role in making recycling and cleanup accessible for our West Cobb community. We’ll see you again next year—if not sooner!

Missed the chance to get rid of your stuff “drive-by” style? We offer curbside pickup, which is essentially the same thing. Check out this blog post here to see how this convenience service may be the perfect junk solution for you!
